23rd Psalm - An Interpretation

This beautiful, life affirming psalm is most often heard at funerals.  How it can be interpreted as relating to the passage into the afterlife I can to see to some extent, but the way I interpret it, it is of far more value to the living and provides a method for contacting the Universal subconscious and manifesting our dreams.

The lord is my shepherd
I am guided by Universal Consciousness

I shall not want
All my needs are met

He maketh me to lay down in green pastures
I relax my body to connect with Universal Consciousness

He leadeth me beside the still waters
I still my thoughts and emotions

He restoreth my soul
When calm and relaxed I access my true being

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his names sake
I put aside any negative thoughts and emotions

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou art with me
Whatever I encounter I do not fear it because I know I am never alone

Thy rod and staff they comfort me
I am protected and comforted

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies
Even in the most adverse circumstances I am provided for

Thou annointest my head with oil
I am placed in the flow of Universal knowledge

My cup runneth over
My whole being is infused with Universal love

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
All my life I will be provided for and shown kindness

And I will dwell in the house of the lord forever
And I will have faith in the the providence and protection of Universal Consciousness forever
